Description
Unique and congenial design company with a team oriented environment and quality of life belief is looking for a talent Graphic Designer. Under the supervision of the Studio Director and/or Senior Designer, the Graphic Designer will be Responsible for conceptualization and design of graphic applications such as collateral material, environmental graphics, books, corporate identity, multimedia and web interfaces.

Specific duties and responsibilities consist of:

Demonstrated proficiency in computer design software.
Ability to communicate with clients to ensure project direction meets the clients’ expectation.
Ability to develop conceptual sketches into design presentations.
Coordinate research and sample materials for presentation.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and prepare presentation work for various projects.
Ability to perform design tasks in response to an established creative brief.
Prepare print-ready files with printing specifications.
Compose transmittals and other correspondence necessary for the project.
Work and communicate in all phases as an integral member of the Graphics team.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Maintain logs and records necessary to manage the project.
Requirements
Accredited degree in Graphic Design; or a demonstrated thorough knowledge of technical and design techniques.
Up to two years of related professional experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe® InDesign, Adobe® Illustrator, Adobe® Photoshop, and Macromedia Flash knowledge is a plus (Macintosh platform). Must have an extensive portfolio to present upon interview.

The 2 ads I found online are for a Graphic Designer position, and a photography position. The requirements for the graphic design position is an accredited degree in Graphic design, and up to 2 years of professional experience. The ad uses technical terminology. Matura Farrington,Inc. is hiring. When writing the resume, I will need to focus on my design skills and experience.

For the photography ad, the requirements are strong interest in photography, strong communication skills, and enthusiastic. Portrait Innovations is hiring. I will need to focus on my portfolio when writing the resume.

• I am following photonews, their twitter username is http://twurl.nl/xc2y38. I am following them because they are photoshop experts and can photoshop their life.  They teach how to erase ex-boyfriends, lose pounds, and add absent friends in events they didn't even attend.
  
• The blog i read is called Photoshop Your Life. The purpose of the blog is to use photoshop to better digital photographs.  The reader states how to exclude and include things from pictures, so i think it keeps readers coming back to learn more

first blog assignment

The blog I chose was http://andrewsullivan.com/ . This blog is directed to people who are interested in John McCain and the campaign. The audience is adults, obvioulsy, and maybe teenagers if they care what is going on. The central focus of the blog is to attack McCain. As far as the theme and design strategies, it looks sort of like a newsletter, and has some cartoon characters that make it look interesting. I don't really find this blog interesting because it is quite boring to me, but it is well designed. I would like to se more pictures on this blog, I don't know about information.
